By Road

The Galleries is particularly easy to visit by car, being situated between the two main North/South roads in the region close to the western bypass. FOLLOW THE ROAD SIGNS MARKED GALLERIES. There are over 3,000 FREE PARKING SPACES - all at ground level and adjacent to the shops and leisure facilities.

By Bus

A multi-route bus station is situated at the Galleries and serves the conurbations of Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle and Sunderland. A local bus service also operates within Washington's residential areas. Some 1100 buses each day feed the centre from local and outlying districts.

By Taxi

Taxi stands are situated in both eastern and western car parks.
